    How to Unlock Password Protected Memory Cards

    Well its quite simple but most of the people do not know it.

    Please note the fact that it only works if the password to the MMC Card was set in ur own mobile,where u want it to be unlocked.

    This method works well for nokia cells with symbian operating system.Never tried on other cells.use any software like FXplorer that can browse files in ur cell.

    1. Open one of above software you have.
    2. Browse through the directory, C:\system
    3. Rename the file mmcstore to mmcstore.txt
    4. Open the file - The file will open in Notes.
    5. You will find your password in that file. That file would also contain much more data which you do not understand,so you need to go through the file to get the password!

    When ur cell is connected to pc by means of data cable or bluetooth,u can see the password by simply opening the file mmcstore with notepad.

    Interesting Tweaks regarding GOOGLE TALK

    Change the font size - While holding the control key, move the scroll wheel on your mouse either up or down. This trick works while being focused in either the read or write area.

    Insert line breaks - If you want to have a message that spans multiple paragraphs, just hold shift and hit enter. You can add as many new lines as you want to create.

    Bold Text - To write something bold, you can use an asterisk before and after the word, like *Hello* .

    Italic Text - To use italics, use an underscore before an after the word, like _hello_ .

    Switch windows - Hitting tab will cycle through open windows. It will select minimized conversations, to expand them just hit enter. If you just want to cycle through IM's and don't care about the buddy list, control-tab will do that and will automatically expand a minimized conversation if you settle on one.

    Invitation Tips - You don't need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this in the options). ]

    Show Hyperlinks - You can show your homepage or blog URL simply by entering the it in your away message (at the top of the main window). It will automatically turn to a link visible to others.

    A message can be 32767 characters long.

    How To Conference Calls :
    What you need to do to have conference calls: Open up a copy of Google Talk on all computers with which you wish to conference. After one copy is opened make a new shortcut for Google Talk but at the end of it add /nomutex. If you installed it to the default folder then your shortcut should read "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex. Open 2nd instances of the software on every user's computer. After this start a chain: User 1 should connect on one instance to user 2. User 2 will connect on his second instance to user 3. User 3 will connect using his second instance back to user 1. With this chain everyone is connected to everyone.

    Nickname & Status Message :
    You can't change your nickname in a way that other people will see it change. Every nickname in the Google Talk contact list is the part that is before @gmail.com (only the alphabetical characters are used) or the name you chosen for your GMail account. To change the nickname need to go to your Gmail account and change the name there. Choose Settings, Accounts, and then Edit info. Click on the second radio button, and enter your custom name. As a result all of your emails will have that nick as well, there is no way to seperate the two. You can add a website in your custom message, it will be clickable when someone opens a conversation window with you.

    Contacts:
    You don't need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this).
    The Gmail account 'user@gmail.com' can't be invited as your friend.

    Play Music:
    It's possible to broadcast music, MP3, etc.. through Google Talk.
    Unplug your microphone. Double click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner. This will open up "Volume Control". Select "Options" and then "Properties". Then check the button next to "Recording" then click OK. You may also have to change your setting under Mixer Device. Now the Recording Control screen should be up. On my computer I selected "Wave Out Mix". Click on the green phone in Google Talk and call your friend.

    Use Google Talk via a Web Browser
    You want to use Google Talk anywhere ? Follow these guidelines.
    Step 1: Opens your favorite web browser at the following address :
    http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/popout
    Step 2: Follow the instructions of the Page.
    Step 3: You can talk with your friends

    Google's Secret Command-Line Parameters
    There are a few secret parameters you can add to Google Talk and make it function differently.
    To add these, open up your Google Talk shortcut properties, and where it says "Target:" add one or more of these inside the quotations, but after the .exe part.

    The most important, I think, is /nomutex, which allows you to run more than one instance of GT. Here are the others:
    Example: "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex
    /nomutex: allows you to open more than one instance of Google Talk
    /autostart: when Google Talk is run with this parameter, it will check the registry settings to see if it needs to be started or not. If the "Start automatically with Windows" option is unchecked, it won't start.
    /forcestart: same as /autostart, but forces it to start no matter what option was set.
    /S upgrade: Used when upgrading Google Talk
    /register: registers Google Talk in the registry, includig the GMail Compose method.
    /checkupdate: check for newer versions
    /plaintextauth: uses plain authentication mechanism instead then Google's GAIA mechanism. Used for testing the plain method on Google's servers.
    /nogaiaauth: disables GAIA authentication method. The same as above.
    /factoryreset: set settings back to default.
    /gaiaserver servername.com: uses a different GAIA server to connect to Google Talk. Used for debug purposes only, there are no other known GAIA servers.
    /mailto email@host.com: send an email with Gmail
    /diag: start Google Talk in diagnostic mode
    /log: probably has something to do with the diagnostic logging
    /unregister: ?
    /embedding: ?

    Backup / Restore the Registry

    To Backup/Restore the Windows Registry: Windows 9x For XP 2000 click here

    1. If you are in MSDOS, at the C:\Windows prompt type
    2. Attrib -s -r -h C:\Windows\System.dat (press Enter)
    3. Attrib -s -r -h C:\Windows\User.dat (press Enter)

    To make the backup copies type:

    2. copy C:\Windows\User.000 C:\Windows\user.dat (press Enter)

    Add Open With to all files

    You can add "Open With..." to the Right click context menu of all
    files.This is great for when you have several programs you want to
    open the same file types with. I use three different text editors so I
    added it to the ".txt" key.

    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\Shell
    3. Add a new Key named "OpenWith" by right clicking the "Shell" Key
    and selecting new
    4. Set the (Default) to "Op&en With..."
    5. Add a new Key named "Command" by right clicking the "OpenWith" Key
    and selecting new
    6. Set the (Default) to "C:\Windows\rundll32.exe
    shell32.dll,OpenAs_RunDLL %1", C:\ being your Windows drive. You must
    enter the "OpenAs_RunDLL %1" exactly this way.

    Customize the System Tray

    You can add your name or anything you like that consists of 8
    characters or less. This will replace the AM or PM next to the system
    time. But you can corrupt some trial licenses of software that you may
    have downloaded.

    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International
    3. Add two new String values, "s1159" and "s2359"
    4. Right click the new value name and modify. Enter anything you like
    up to 8 characters.

    If you enter two different values when modifying, you can have the
    system tray display the two different values in the AM and PM.

    Lock Out Unwanted Users

    Want to keep people from accessing Windows, even as the default user?
    If you do not have a domain do not attempt this.

    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\
    Logon
    3. Create a dword value "MustBeValidated"
    4. Set the value to 1
    This forced logon can be bypassed in Safe Mode on Windows 9x

    Disable the Outlook Express Splash Screen

    You can make OutLook Express load quicker by disabling the splash screen:

    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OutLook Express
    3. Add a string value "NoSplash"
    4. Set the value data to 1 as a Dword value

    Multiple Columns For the Start Menu

    To make Windows use multiple Start Menu Columns instead of a single
    scrolling column, like Windows 9x had, Also if you are using Classic
    Mode in XP

    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Go to the key
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\
    Explorer\ Advanced
    3. Create a string value "StartMenuScrollPrograms"
    4. Right click the new string value and select modify
    5. Set the value to "FALSE"

    Changing Windows' Icons

    You can change the Icons Windows uses for folders, the Start Menu,
    opened and closed folder in the Explorer, and many more.

    1. Open RegEdit
    2. Go to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\
    Explorer\ Shell Icons
    3. Add a string value for each Icon you wish to change.
    Example: "3" ="C:\Windows\Icons\MyIcon.ico,0" This will change the
    closed folders in the Explorer to "MyIcon.ico". Here is a complete
    list for each value.
    0= Unknown file type
    1= MSN file types
    2= Applications Generic
    3= Closed Folder
    4= Open Folder
    5= 5.25" Drive

    36= Start Menu's Programs
    37= Printer Folder
    38= Fonts Folder
    39= Taskbar Icon

    You need to reboot after making changes. You may need to delete the
    hidden file ShellIconCache if after rebooting the desired Icons are
    not displayed.

    Hack Single Click Select All Feature in Mozilla Firefox Addressbar

    If you are a Mozilla Firefox user, you might have noticed that
    whenever you click in the addressbar, the whole text is selected by
    default. Its a good feature and very handy when you want to clear the
    addressbar to enter a new URL but sometimes you might want to disable
    it. Why? because if you want to edit a URL in the addressbar, you'll
    need to double-click to edit it.

    So it depends upon what are your requirements. This tutorial will help
    you in disabling this feature and after following this tutorial, you
    can edit the URL by simply clicking in the addressbar, it'll not
    select the whole text any more.

    So here are the steps:

    1. Open firefox and type about:config in the addressbar and press
    Enter. It'll confirm, click on I'll be careful, I promise! button.

    2. Now type SelectsAll in the Filter box. It'll show 2 entries:

       browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll
       browser.urlbar.
    doubleClickSelectsAll

    "clickSelectsAll" would be set to true and "doubleClickSelectsAll"
    would be set to false.

    3. Now to disable the auto-select feature, either double-click on
    "clickSelectsAll" or right-click on it and select "Toggle". It'll set
    its value to false.

    You can set Firefox to select the whole text in the addressbar by
    double-clicking in it. To do so, either double-click on
    "doubleClickSelectsAll" or right-click on it and select "Toggle".
    It'll set its value to true.

    4. That's it. Now Firefox will no longer select the whole text when
    you click in the addressbar but if you double-click, it'll select the
    whole text for you.

    To change the icons used for specific drives in explorer

    Open regedit by typing regedit into start->run

    then navigate to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer

    now create a key(KEY not VALUE!!) called DriveIcons under Explorer...
    now within DriveIcons, create another key with the drive letter you want to change (e.g.,HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons\K)...
    create another key within the drive letter key called DefaultIcon...
    now set the default String value equal to the icon you want to use. if you have a file that has more than one icon in it, such as a DLL file, use the standard
    C:\full_path\icon_file.dll,n <file:///C:/full_path/icon_file.dll,n>) where n is the number of the icon within the file icon_file.dll...
